Looking after your skin
inside and out

As winter has come to an end and those warmer days are upon us; most of us notice how de-hydrated our skin is. As a naturopath I believe that working from the inside will help improve what is seen on the outside; Fish oils come to mind. Most of the health benefits of fish oil can be attributed to the presence of omega 3 essential fatty acids like Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Other useful essential fatty acids in fish oil include Alpha-linolenic acid or ALA and Gamma-linolenic acid or GLA. Quality is most important when it comes to fish oils; that is why we always recommend a practitioner only product. Basically you get what you pay for - if you pay $20 for 200 fish oil capsules you can only imagine what you are actually getting in each capsule!

A full body scrub, clay and steam is the perfect treat for your skins hydration. This is the pampering way to rehydrate your skin and remove all those dead skin cells. If you have never had a full body scrub before you really don’t know what you are missing. Scrubs help remove dead skin cells, increase circulation and also stimulate new cells to grow. Depending on your treatment choice you are then covered head to toe in clay and steamed to hydrate your skin. Check out some of our pamper treatments on our website. You won’t be disappointed. 20% off all scrubs this month too.

Your feet come next – a European pedi will remove the dead skin from your feet with a rotating burr. Much more advanced than just a pedi paddle and so much better for you than blading. Plus your get your toes painted a lovely colour for Spring.

Water is utmost when it comes to hydration – but that goes without saying. It’s always harder to drink water in Winter than Spring; so now is your chance to get those cells hydrated and flush out the winter toxins. Add some fresh lemon or lime to your filtered water for a refreshing twist. Don’t get conned into buy flavoured water as most contain sugars and you don’t want extra calories. Keep your eyes peeled for our new range of camel back water bottles coming soon.

If you face is lacking luster – you know we have the answer for that with our NEW Hydrodermabrasion. Check out our great specials for the month.
