Passionflower (Passiflora Incarnata) is commonly used for insomnia, stress, anxiety, nerve pain, neuralgia and even shingles. It is a shame Dr.s don't recommend passionflower and other nervous system tonics to aid stress and insomnia than the heavy alternatives like anti-depressants. Passion flower takes a more natural approach in calming the nervous system and coping with stress without the addictive chemical sedatives. One of the great things about passionflower is there is no grogginess the following morning. Nothing better than a good nights sleep and feeling refreshed in the morning.

There have been various studies on passionflower and its effectiveness in circadian clock during sleep , teeth extraction, anxiety, GABA production and many more. 

Passion flower is also great for smokers wanting to quit as it calms the addictive process and the anxiety associated with quitting.

Passionflower can also be used for menopause, ADD and ADHD, seizures and caridiovacular health. 

Unfortunately passionflower is contraindicated in pregnancy as it may induce contractions.
