Time for feet treatment with reflexology

Reflexology is a safe and effective non-invasive treatment. It is based on various reflex points on the feet that represent organs, parts and glands in the body. Reflexology stimulates these points with a variety of specialised finger, thumb and knuckle techniques.

Why not experience a wonderful relaxing therapy working on many levels, soothing, calming, balancing and boosting your entire body.

Feet R&R

Immerse your feet in warm water, followed by an essential oil scented salt exfoliation; a peppermint green clay mask is then applied to rejuvenate your feet. Lastly your toes and feet are massaged to complete the process of pure relaxation.

Further Information on Reflexology

Organs in your body are represented by areas on your feet. The following may give you a further understanding into these areas.  The toes represent anything located in or on the head, like the teeth, mouth, nose, brain, eyes and ears.  The ball of the foot represents the chest and breast areas, including all the internal organs of digestion e.g. - stomach and liver.  The lower half of the arch represents the intestines and bladder. The heel represents the pelvic and reproductive organs.  The spine is represented on the inside of the foot running from the big toe to the heel, while the shoulders are represented under the little toes and the hip and knee region is on the outside of the foot.

A reflexologist will usually feel any imbalances in an organ or area of the body as little "crystals" under the skin, while the client may feel mild discomfort as the area is being worked on. The aim of the therapist is to break down this congestion using various fingers and thumb techniques and allow the body to come back into balance.

An average session would usually last around an hour, during which you lie on a massage table, drifting off into deep relaxation while your feet are being worked on.

Reflexology is beneficial for helping with muscle and skeletal problems, especially back and neck problems. It is used as a preventative or maintenance program and is suitable for people of all ages from babies to the elderly.

Reflexology is a wonderfully relaxing therapy that works on many level, soothing, calming, balancing and boosting your entire body. All body systems benefit from reflexology but you may notice affect on your circulation, nervous and lymphatic systems in particular.
